THE BRIEF

Rolls Royce Partners & Finance approached us to rethink the design of their inventory-tracking digital app TRES. Although groundbreaking in it's potential to transform many workflows within the aviation industry, it lacked personality and felt like 'just another internal system to log into'. The task for us was to make this feel like an app staff would enjoy interacting with, that had personality.

OUR RESPONSE

Firstly we designed a logotype to give TRES a tangible identity. This incorporated 3 plane graphics to make up the letter 'E'. We experimented with colour with the aim of conveying something fresh and technological but also high contrast and bold. The typography veers away from being clinical and instead welcoming and legible. The elements used around the interface such as panels and CTA's often have a slice taken out of the corner to mirror the logotype.

The image below shows how the interface looked prior to us working on it. It needed some personality.
